Birthday conversations

Liam: "Mom, it's your birthday today. You shouldn't just work, work, work. Take some time to relax. Sit down, enjoy your cake."

Liam when seeing my presents on the table this morning: "That's all? That's not a lot of presents!"

Liam: "How old are you today?"

me: "36"

Liam: "What?!! That old?? How come you don't have any white hair? You really should have white hair when you're that old!"

...it's been a lovely day and I did sit down and relaxed and enjoyed my wonderful homemade chocolate cake with fresh caramel sauce that Mark surprised me with this evening.

Life is good - with or without white hair!
